Trial Off – Rock with a Touch of the Unusual
Breaking down traditional structures lies at the heart of Trial Off’s musical concept, a fact reflected by the rock band’s international line up. Carried by the raw and uncensored vocal attitude of global citizen Natalie Chandra, the band’s musicians take their listeners on a journey through worlds of ostensible polarity. While guitarist Oliver Strohm (Germany) throws his fast riffs at the audience, drummer Daniel Slamanig (Switzerland) and bass player Roland Voraberger (Austria) keep the musical fireworks in check with their precision playing.
When rock-loving concertgoers begin to align their head movements with the beat, the band allows them to enjoy the moment before pulling them out of the languor of anticipation with a pyroclastic current or the fluttering of hummingbird wings. But Trial Off would never demonstrate their musical intelligence at the expense of a good time. The party must go on and the headbanger in the first row will find release through the unexpectedly straightforward power of the music just before being consumed by the irresistible presence of the singer.
A rare constellation with the ability to impress even those who don’t usually identify with rock music.

The band, which was formed in 2003, is a creative work space based on mutual inspiration, ferventness and friendship. Trial Off is authentic and doesn’t cater to anyone other than itself and to pursuing its creative desires – a rare quality that impresses even rock sceptics.
When the lead singer takes to the stage, her voice spanning the octaves in time with the heartbeat of the band, they are an awesome, crackling firework with the power to carry away anything with ears or legs.
