Swiss Alternative Neo-Soul artist MISS C-LINE, known as Carolina, with Belorussian roots, originates from Germany, based in Basel. Her exceptional talents encompass singing, rapping, and captivating live performances. What sets her apart is her ability to fuse soul, groove, elements of hip-hop, jazz, and even European classical music, forging a distinctive style that unites diverse audiences. Influenced by Erykah Badu, The Roots, and Robert Glasper, MISS C-LINE is not just a performer but a songwriter and producer, crafting her own musical landscape. Her single "All The Time," prod. By the Wasabi Duo from Lucerne, earned her a coveted nomination for the Kick Ass Award in the "Best Song 2018" category. She's also been a standout presence at the SRF Bounce Cypher, showcasing her lyrical prowess and her music made it onto national radios like JazzFM (UK), FIP (France) and gained recognition all over the globe. Carolina Müller (1999) wurde in Deutschland geboren. Beide Eltern, Gerhard Müller und Alina Kudelevic- Müller sind klassisch ausgebildete Musiker, und so fing sie mit fünf Jahren an, Klavier zu spielen, zwei Jahren später dann auch Violoncello, unterrichtet von ihrer Mutter. 2009 zog die Familie in die Schweiz. Am Konservatorium Bern war sie teil der Talentförderung mit dem Klavier und erhielt zunächst Klavierunterricht bei Moritz Winkelmann, später dann auch Jazz-Klavier bei Yves Teiler. Sie gewann zahlreiche erste Preise bei Jugendmusikwettbewerben in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Italien und Kroatien.
Bereits mit 12 Jahren fing Carolina mit Beat-Making und Komponieren an. Auch ihr Künstlername MISS C-LINE stammt noch aus dieser Zeit. Mithilfe von Software Programmen wie Logic oder Ableton veröffentlichte sie erste Singles und hatte bereits im Alter von 16 Jahren Auftritte in der ganzen Schweiz. Die Zuneigung zu HipHop und Jazz war gross, weshalb sie anfing, sich mit Jazzgesang zu befassen.
2016 nahm sie zum ersten Mal Gesangsunterricht. Nach ihrer Matura, die sie am Muristalden in Bern 2018 abschloss, studierte sie am Jazzcampus Basel bei Ann Malcolm Vocal Jazz. Zusätzlich hatte sie die Möglichkeit von Musikern wie Jeff Ballard, Jorge Rossy, Aydin Esen, Louciana Souza, Ben Street, Malcolm Braff, Carlo Mombelli und Lisette Spinnler zu lernen. Ihr Bachelor Studium schloss Carolina 2021 mit Auszeichnung ab und 2023 ihr Master in Performance/Producing.
Mit ihrem Projekt MISS C-LINE ist sie international erfolgreich und gewann 2021 den „New Generation Jazz Lab contest“ wo sie von Musikern wie Lee Ritenour, Omar Sosa und Tilo Rantala gecoacht wurde. Ihre Musik schafft es in internationale Playlists und hat am 13. Oktober 2023 ihr drittes Album "MISS C-LINE & The Rabidz" veröffentlicht.
